Meet Joy Laramy
Joy Laramy is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner providing thoughtful, evidence-based mental health care. Her collaborative, strengths-based approach centers your voice while supporting adolescents, adults, and families through meaningful, lasting change.
About Joy
Hello! I’m Joy Laramy, a Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensed in Washington State, and a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
With over 20 years of experience in diverse healthcare settings, my mission is simple: to partner with you—whether you are an adolescent, adult, or parent—to achieve lasting recovery and meaningful change.
My Foundational Philosophy
My approach centers on collaborative, research-informed, and strengths-based care. I believe effective mental health treatment integrates the best of evidence-based practice with a deep understanding of your unique life circumstances and goals. Your voice is central to your care plan.
Built on Empathy & Experience
I specialize in supporting adolescents, adults, and the parents who care for them, offering dedicated support through conditions that require serious clinical attention. As a parent who has navigated challenging roads with my own children’s mental health, I bring a profound, non-judgmental empathy to every session. I truly understand the complexities of individual challenges, and I’m especially dedicated to helping parents and caregivers build resilience through their journey.
Life Beyond the Clinic
While I am deeply committed to my work, I also prioritize the joy of life outside of the clinic. When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying time with my teenage children, hyperfocusing on my latest special interest (always a new project!), or dancing poorly and joyfully at local Seattle venues with my partner.
